Earth Without Silver
The earth is running out of silver.
When there is no more silver in the earth, there’ll still be lots of aluminum, silicon, and iron for foil.
Silver will peak by 2034, if it hasn’t already. By 2075, the silver left in the earth won’t meet our needs. By 2240, the earth will be completely without silver.
There is no time to make more and we can’t put it back through landfills.
Silver is vital for the future of electric cars, solar panels, and killing bacteria; and beautiful as silverware and jewelry.
Foil jewelry is OK from a distance, but up close it looks like leftover take-out waste.
